The Topanga Pollinator Stewardship Program was developed as a collaboration and partnership between the Topanga Elementary Charter School Science Committee and the Greener Empowerment Foundation for the purposes of installing and stewarding the pollinator plant grant received from the Xerces Foundation. It became our mission to install pollinator plants in locations that would provide others in our community, especially young people, with educational engagement opportunities on the current plight of the Monarch Butterflies. Many thanks to the Xerces Foundation, Hedgerow Farms and S&S Seeds for making this all possible!
The Pollinator Project Stewardship Kits start at $150 for 5 pollinator plants, selected for your location. Our team will work with you, including 1 site visit, and assess your specific location, habits and desires to find a suitable native Pollinator Project garden kit for your yard. In addition to your Pollinator Project garden kit and consult, you will become part of a team of dedicated Stewards that are working to provide pollinator habitat in Topanga and beyond. Our team strives to plant and steward native pollinator plants where-ever we are! As demand for our program grows we need more Stewards. Our Pollinator Stewardship Program offers educational programs and volunteer opportunities year-round on a range of topics including art, ecology, environmental and community resiliency, green technologies and low impact building.
